Project Overview

ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) is a leading data centre provider in Asia, with a growing portfolio of facilities across the region. In 2024–2025, STT GDC executed a strategic expansion into Malaysia by acquiring seven parcels of land totalling approximately 90,600 sqm in Nusa Cemerlang Industrial Park, Johor. The company invested RM117 million ($25 million) in this acquisition from Crescendo Corporation.
The project encompasses a 22-acre campus development that will ultimately offer up to 120MW of IT load at full build-out. The first facility on this campus, STT Johor 1, has already broken ground and will offer 16MW of IT capacity when operational by the end of 2026.

This expansion represents a significant strategic move for STT GDC, positioning the company to serve both the growing Malaysian market and provide overflow capacity for Singapore-based clients. The Johor location offers an ideal balance of connectivity, infrastructure and cost advantages.
